Physical therapy for athletes includes treatment for ACL tears, one of the most common sports types of inury. The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is a cruciate ligament which is one of the four major ligaments of the human knee.
We can assist with physical therapy for athletes, as well as everyday people who want to bounce back from an injury or surgery in an efficient and effective way. We can also assist with the following injuries:
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: We can assist with recovery from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in which the athlete experiences pain, numbness, or weakness in the hand and wrist.
Tennis Elbow: Where the athlete’s elbow and forearm are painful to the touch. There is usually pain experienced with this type of injury when the athlete shakes hands or attempts to lift something.
Rotator Cuff Tendinitis: This is a condition where the patient is experiencing pain when lifting their arms above their head. We can provide them with the right treatment to leave them pain-free.
Chondromalacia Patella: Patients with Chondromalacia Patella experience pain when bending their knees or sitting for long periods of time. With the right amount of therapy, pain can virtually disappear, leaving the patient a lot more comfortable in everyday situations.
Achilles Tendinitis: This is where athletes may experience pain in their heels and calf muscles.
